What is a single-page application?
A single-page application (SPA) is a web app that loads one page and then updates it in place as you use it, instead of loading new pages.
When you click around an SPA, JavaScript swaps in new content without a full page reload. That makes it feel quick and app-like, the way most modern web apps work.
Frameworks like React, Vue and Svelte are common ways to build them. Many apps now mix both: pages rendered on the server for speed and search, with SPA-style updates after they load.
